In the final battle against Odin, Loki, inspired by the humans, finally betrays Odin, revealing his true disdain for his ally after his war slaughtered countless friends of Loki. At Baidi Castle, Loki is tasked with protecting Zeus's staff, Keraunos, and finds himself under attack by Yukimura. Loki also reveals that his plan was to sabotage the Olympians for killing his allies and infusing their powers into various Arms. When the Coalition is attacked by Odin's army at Ji Province, Loki finally reveals is true identity and doggedly chases them down. This eventually leads to him being tricked and captured by Zhong Hui at Nanzhong. When both the Rebel Army and the Oda Army merge to form the Coalition, Perseus aids the Coalition in rescuing other humans in their search for more Arms of Ouroboros. At the end of the day then if your a fan of the Warriors Orochi franchise then you will thoroughly enjoy what this game has to offer and with the added inclusion of being able to play the whole campaign in co-op you’re very unlikely to get bored of this game anytime soon.The Warriors Orochi series has Loki, as Perseus, rebel against Zeus's machinations by entering Orochi's dimensional realm. "Perseus" first appears aiding the Rebel Army in attempting to seize one of the Arms of Ouroboros that had fallen into the hands of Nobunaga Oda. I was also pleased to learn that the content has no technichal problems either and this does make each intricate mechanic shine brightly throughout your time with the game. In terms of content the game has a lot for you to be getting on with and the content that is available to you has tons of variety within it. I do however have a small gripe when it comes to its combat though and that is that it isn’t challenging enough, but thankfully I was easily able to look past this. In fact this time around for me the series has become even more fun and addictive because there’s more depth when it comes to the crux of the game, which is of course its combat.
Overall I really enjoy the Warriors Orochi series because I’ve found each game in the series to be very fun and addictive, and thankfully I’m pleased to say that Warriors Orochi 4 is no different. I felt that the game needed to be more challenging because at times it can be a little too easy. The presentation side of the game isn’t bad I just felt that both the visuals and sound design were lacking in some areas. You can tell that each different mechanic that’s present in the game has had a lot of thought and effort placed into them which in turn makes the gameplay very addictive. Technically the game holds up really well throughout your time with the game and I’m pleased to say that there aren’t any issues that hold the game back.
Being able to play the entire campaign in co-op is a nice addition and this inclusion does give the game even more in terms of replayability. The combat is fun and exciting at all times and the newly included magic abilities gives the combat even more depth.
